A little bit about me…
I’ve been writing (as a career) for over a decade now, starting out as a junior journalist on a newspaper, moving on to be a features writer for various publications, before then been promoted as a senior editor. I am a highly versatile writer and able to quickly adapt my style for different audiences, platforms, and publications. For the last 5+ years, I’ve also been involved in marketing and communications.
With my roles I have been fortunate to travel the world and work in different industries including the charitable sector, sports, business, construction, film, and broadcast. Away from work, I am a keen creative writer, having written a number of short stories, poems and screenplays. In 2020, I came first in the Waterways Storymaking Festival for my category; my work was subsequently included as part of the festival’s exhibition which went on tour around the country in the weeks that followed. I’m also a contributor for other websites and a proof-reader for other writers.
When I’m not writing I like to read, bake, draw, and spend time outdoors.
